Some ideas for your 3 things…
Remember–only choose 3! This is about simplifying self care, not creating a big, daunting to-do list.
- Get dressed in non-yoga pants
- Brush your teeth & hair
- Eat breakfast
- Make your bed
- Go outside
- Take a shower
- Do yoga for 10 minutes
- Take 3 deep breaths
- Wash a load of laundry
- Wipe the kitchen table or counters
- Spend 10 minutes alone
- Stretch your back, shoulders, and neck
- Play a short game with your kids
- Spend 15 minutes doing something creative
- Connect with a friend/loved one (text, call, Marco Polo, Zoom, Facetime, etc.)
- Load & start the dishwasher
- Kiss your spouse/sweetheart/partner
- Read or study your scriptures
- Set a bedtime for your phone (“I’ll turn my screen off by 9.”)
- Eat dinner as a family
- Take out the trash
- Do a 3 minute meditation
- Read a book (alone, or to your child–whichever fills you up quicker)
- Go to bed on time
